Andy Murray gets new job coaching tennis star in shock move before Wimbledon
Jack Draper will team up with Andy Murray in a revamp to his coaching set-up ahead of the grass court season.
Murray, a three-time Grand Slam champion, has spent 12 months away the sport after ending a six-month coaching partnership with Novak Djokovic last May.

The Scot’s imminent return comes with Draper announcing he has split with Jamie Delgado after a six-month stint alongside Murray’s former coach.
Draper ditches Delgado
Draper hired Delgado as head coach in October but the pair worked together at just four tournaments due to Draper’s injury problems.
“I am very grateful for everything Jamie Delgado has done for me over these past six months,” Draper said in a statement. “He is a world-class coach and a great man.
“In the interim, I will continue to be supported by the excellent team at the LTA, with the addition of Andy Murray, who will be supporting me throughout the grass court season.”
The British No.2’s injury woes have continued so far this season which will see him miss the French Open later this month with a knee issue.
As a result of persistent injury setbacks, Draper has fallen down the world rankings and will drop outside the top 75 after the Italian Open.
Draper has not played since mid-April and is eyeing a return in Stuttgart early next month. Failing that, he could be ready for Queen’s in London a week later.
Coach Murray
Murray will be tasked with helping the left-hander get back to full fitness and a surge back up the rankings.
The 38-year-old recently told Sky Sports that his stint alongside Djokovic had spurred him on to coach again in the future.
Murray said: “To be honest, I would coach again. I learned quite a lot, more just about coaching, about how you have to communicate your message to the player you are working with and how to listen to them.

“Having kids has helped me with that, learning to be more understanding and seeing something from another person’s point of view and perspective.”
And he has been backed to help get Draper firing on all cylinders again by his brother Jamie Murray.
Asked what his brother would provide to aid Draper’s development, Jamie told Sky Sports Tennis: “Experience of what it takes to prepare yourself for these events.
“Also, understanding what it takes to win these events, and the pressure that goes with being the No 1 British player around and everything that entails.
“There’s no one better qualified to understand what Jack will be going through.
“I think it’s an exciting appointment. Jamie Delgado is a really good friend of mine but, ultimately, I think Jack is going to do what he thinks is best for his career and we hope it works out.”

US Open semi-finalist Draper will be looking to pick Murray’s brains on SW19 having not made it beyond the second round at Wimbledon.
Wimbledon proved to be Murray’s most prolific Grand Slam with two of his three majors (2013 and 2016) coming at the All England Club.
