Ajinkya Rahane signs for a commentary stint at The Hundred

Legendary Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane is set for a commentary stint during The Hundred, England's premier domestic white-ball competition. The men's tournament got underway on Tuesday, July 21, with MI London defeating the Sunrisers Leeds by seven wickets at the Kennington Oval in London. In the women’s competition, defending champions Sunrisers Leeds, formerly Northern Superchargers, also began their campaign with a seven-wicket victory in their season opener against MI London.

Rahane has had commentary stints in the past and also served as an expert in important series and tournaments in the past. After leading the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 2026 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the right-handed batter has focused on sharing his tactical analysis on pertinent topics in the sport.

The sixth edition of The Hundred is different for various reasons but significant private investment and refreshed team identities standout.
