AJ Green passes Damian Lillard in Bucks history

AJ Green broke one of Damian Lillard’s franchise records following a remarkable performance in the Milwaukee Bucks’ win over the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night.

Throughout his two-year stint with the Bucks, Lillard made 417 total 3-pointers with the franchise. The 2023-24 season was where he did most of his damage from downtown, making 220 triples as it placed him third on the single-season record for most 3-pointers made.

Going into the game, Green knocked down 216 3-pointers throughout the 2025-26 campaign. He needed four to tie Lillard’s mark and five to pass him, something he did in remarkable fashion.

In 41 minutes of action, Green torched the nets from deep. He finished with a stat line of 35 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals. He shot 11-of-16 from downtown and 2-of-2 from the free-throw line. This allowed him to firmly take over third place on the single-season record chart for the 3-pointers made category.
