WWE Hall of Famer says he was ‘assaulted’ by a fan at WrestleMania 42
Just days after successfully hosting the WWE WrestleMania 42 PLE in Las Vegas, Nevada, several incidents regarding bad fan behavior have emerged. The WrestleMania 42 weekend saw CM Punk engage in a heated fan altercation, while Damian Priest also had to step in and teach a fan about respecting the women’s wrestlers’ personal space.
The weekend also saw Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch nudge away a fan, while Booker T got filmed inside a bathroom. Things did not stop there in Vegas, as former WWE star Cora Jade, aka Elayna Black, got sexually assaulted while attending WrestleCon in Vegas. Shortly after all of these incidents became viral, WWE Hall of Famer Sean Waltman opened up about his own traumatic experience.
Responding to TMZ’s viral video of CM Punk’s fan altercation, Waltman wrote, “That guy & all the rest like him can get f***ed. It was insane how these people were. I got physically assaulted & camera shoved in my face, stalked in the bathroom, & more.”
In a follow-up update on social media, Waltman explained his previous Tweet. “I dont have a problem w people taking pictures or recording in public. It’s when you invade someone’s space, stick cameras in peoples faces, I have a problem with that,” he wrote. Fightful Select also recently released a detailed report about WWE talents sharing their reaction to the entire security chaos.
Waltman is a celebrated WWE Hall of Famer as a member of D-X and the nWo. At WWE WrestleMania 42 helped induct NBA legend Dennis Rodman into the WWE Hall of Fame with Kevin Nash. Waltman also often helps out behind the scenes in WWE by coaching indie talent.
