Wings’ Alanna Smith exits Sky clash with face injury

Alanna Smith got unfortunate news after suffering an injury early into the Dallas Wings’ matchup against the Chicago Sky on Saturday night.

Smith is going through the eighth season of her WNBA career, her first with the Wings. She provides valuable production as a defensive-minded player, having won Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2025 with the Minnesota Lynx.

Dallas landed her talents this past offseason with the goal of improving the team’s defense and a making an attempt to get back to the playoffs.
