Window cleaners gatecrash World Cup show on 50th floor with message for Simon Jordan
Simon Jordan was left speechless by a special message from the World Trade Centre window cleaners on Tuesday.
The talkSPORT co-host joined Jim White and Arsenal legend Martin Keown in New York City for the latest edition of White & Jordan.

However, it was a pair of special guests who stole the show in Manhattan as they gatecrashed the studio.
Surprise message
While live on air, window cleaners Angel and Martin appeared on the outside of the building to clean the windows of the 50th floor.
Suspended 700ft in the air alongside the skyscraper, they took a break to hold up a series of signs to the delight of White, Jordan and Keown.
The trio were left in hysterics by messages reading ‘Transfer window cleaners’, ‘Free Keown’ and ‘Simon Jordan for PM’, a sentiment often expressed by regular listeners of the show as well as some footballers.
Angel and Martin’s stunt was met with applause and laughter from those in the studio as they made their brief cameo.
As they descended to the next floor, White said: “I want to thank these guys, Angel and Milton, and Bill in here at the World Trade Centre for making that happen.
“We did not expect them to become such a part of today’s show but I’m absolutely thrilled.”
In response, Keown added: “I don’t want to hear any of the producers moaning about their job again when you see what those guys do out there. That is incredible.”
However, Jordan could not resist a quip at his co-host’s expense.
The former Crystal Palace chairman quickly chimed in by joking: “Yes, but they do have to put up with you, Martin.”

Built like a window cleaner
Later in the show, Jordan used the window cleaners for an analogy when discussing Antonin Kinsky’s new Tottenham contract.
The Spurs goalkeeper has been rewarded for a strong end to the season which came after a calamitous performance against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
“How about a bit of resilience?” Jordan said. “It just shows you what a load of old crap 99 per cent of pundits talk about,” he said when recalling the reaction to the goalkeeper’s game and the obituaries about his Tottenham career.
“‘That’s the end of his career’, ‘he’s doomed’, ‘it’s the end!’ What did he do? Showed a bit of backbone.”
When Jordan was reminded by White that he only just admitted he would not be able to deal with the same heights as the window cleaners, Jordan continued: “If I was a window cleaner and I couldn’t clean windows, I would have something to say about it. I don’t want to do that and I wouldn’t put myself in the way of that.

“If you’re a professional footballer and you need to show resilience in the space that you’re in, what’s wrong with that? He was useless and he got pulled. Then back he came.
“It won’t hurt his mental health. He’ll build some character and he’ll be better for it.”
Live from New York
White & Jordan is being hosted live from New York City throughout this summer’s World Cup in North America.
The talkSPORT veterans have found themselves at the centre of a chaotic sporting month in the Big Apple – which also saw the New York Nicks end their 53-year drought for an NBA championship.
White nearly found himself arrested during a misunderstanding which occurred on his way to the studio on his way into work during the parade.
The final of the tournament will be hosted in New York/New Jersey later this month.
It is set to be played at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on Sunday, July 19.
Live commentary from the final will be available on talkSPORT.
The stadium is the home of the New York Giants and New York Jets NFL franchises.
As well as the final, the MetLife Stadium will have hosted seven other matches by the end of the tournament.
Those have included England’s 2-0 win over Panama in the group stage on Saturday.
