Will Triple H ever come out of retirement and what was his final WWE match?
Triple H has been flooded with calls from fans for one more match since moving from the ring to WWE’s chief creative role years ago.
The 14-time world champion called time on his 30-year career at WrestleMania 38 in 2022 and hasn’t laced up the boots since.

WWE’s chief content officer, real name Paul Levesque, oversees the majority of Raw, SmackDown and Premium Live Event creative.
However, The Game was front and centre of WWE’s promotional poster for Mania 42 this weekend despite his behind-the-scenes role.
This led former WWE star Stevie Richards to claim that Triple H is planning on an in-ring return at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
WWE fans have become accustomed to legends coming out of retirement, from Ric Flair and Trish Stratus to Sting and Mick Foley.
Triple H was even part of his former D-Generation X partner Shawn Michaels’ decision to wrestle for the first time in eight years in 2018.
And with the Heartbreak Kid hinting that he could have one more match, attention has turned to whether Hunter could follow suit.
Will Triple H ever come out of retirement?
According to the man himself, he will never be medically cleared to wrestle again and therefore will remain a non-active performer.
Triple H was part of the post-show panel for WWE Night of Champions last June, when fans chanted ‘one more match’ at him.
“You chant all you want, there ain’t one more match in this…” he responded. “You know how they say, ‘It’s the last thing you do.’ It would be the last thing I would do.”

Months later, Triple H was again asked who he would most like to face off against if he ever did return to the ring.
HHH joked that it would be Father Time, such is the nature of his health, before admitting he’d choose Roman Reigns in his prime.
He told Good Morning America: “If I got back in at this point, I’d be wrestling Father Time, is what I’d be doing.
“Nobody, mostly me, wants to see me back in the ring.
“It’s hard for me to say, I think in this moment right now, a current superstar, if I could go back in time and do what I did at my peak, it would be Roman Reigns.”
“He’s a great guy, incredible talent, incredible performer,” Triple H continued. “Out making movies right now, still a WWE Superstar, but branching out into Hollywood. He’s gonna be massive.”

What was Triple H’s final WWE match, and why did he retire?
Triple H announced his retirement in 2022, which he reaffirmed by leaving his boots in the ring at Wrestlemania 38.
This followed a cardiac event that the 56-year-old endured in September 2021, the result of which led to emergency heart surgery.
Triple H, who publicly revealed that he was ‘minutes away from death’, has since been fitted with a defibrillator (ICD) in his chest.
His last house show took place at a 2019 event in Japan, as he teamed with Shinsuke Nakamura against Samoa Joe and Bobby Roode.
While many consider that to be his last official match, Triple H was also involved in a 2021 unsanctioned street fight versus Randy Orton.
