Why Nick Wright still respects Lonzo Ball despite savage diss

Fox Sports 1’s analyst Nick Wright clapped back at Lonzo Ball’s diss in defense of his brother, Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball. After Wright labeled Ball a clown for his trip on Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo, his brother, Lonzo, came to his defense on social media. Lonzo called Wright a bum on social media.

After Lonzo attacked Wright’s hair, the Fox Sports 1 analyst responded on his X, formerly Twitter.

“These are my natural curls, thank you very much. Also, I respect you having your brother’s back… despite the fact that deep down you’ve gotta know everything I said was true,” Wright said. “He’s immensely talented, hilariously immature, reckless on and off the court & his own worst enemy.”

Very few people would criticize someone standing up for his brother. However, for Wright, he’s not backing down on the notion that LaMelo hasn’t matured in his six seasons with the Hornets.

Fox Sports 1’s Nick Wright trashed Hornets guard LaMelo Ball without hesitation on Wednesday. Following the Hornets’ 127-126 win against the Heat in overtime, Wright trashed Ball’s team leadership, per Fox Sports 1’s First Things First.

“I am not sorry, and I don’t care if this gets clipped. That young man is a clown, and has been a clown forever, and never not be a clown,” Wright said. “I don’t know what he will be down the road. What I do know is the way he conducts himself on the court, and it would appear off the court, is that of an immature coddled teenager.”

Ball’s trip on Heat’s Bam Adebayo is being reviewed by the NBA.
