Why Cowboys QB Dak Prescott isn’t hesitating to share Super Bowl aspirations

The Dallas Cowboys will be under a lot of pressure during the 2026 NFL season. QB Dak Prescott has Super Bowl aspirations for Dallas ahead of the 2026 season after the team’s impressive offseason. Prescott wants everyone to know exactly what he is trying to manifest ahead of a crucial 2026 campaign for the organization.

Prescott was not shy about his championship expectations during a recent interview.

“Why are we hesitant to say that that’s what we’re playing for?” Prescott said, per Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated. “I don’t know if it’s just getting older, having kids and blatantly not giving a f— what other people think, but if that’s what this is about, then why is anybody being hesitant about it? And why is it, honestly, such a big deal even saying it? So my point is, let’s put it out there. Like, I’m a big manifester. I wouldn’t be here in my life if I didn’t think I would be here, going back to being a little kid.”

Prescott added that his adult life, including his NFL career, is pretty much exactly how he imagined it during his childhood. So why can’t that include winning a Super Bowl?

“I mean, people ask me all the time. A lot of times they ask this question, [and] they expect a ‘No, not at all’—Did you ever expect your life to be like this? And I go, Damn near to the smallest detail,” Prescott added. “Like, I’ve had cars that I’ve only got because I said I’d have them when I was 7 years old. So to say I was going to be a Super Bowl champion and play like this, that’s also something I said. So why don’t I own that as much as I own other things?”

The last time the Cowboys made the postseason was during the 2023 season. Dallas will be counting on some major defensive improvements to help Prescott and the offense get back to the playoffs.

If the Cowboys can make the playoffs, then anything could happen. Including Prescott fulfilling his childhood dreams of hoisting a Lombardi Trophy.
