Where to watch MotoGP British Grand Prix: Date, start time and how to follow action at Silverstone

The MotoGP grid arrives in Great Britain this weekend as the racing stars take to the iconic circuit at Silverstone, live on talkSPORT 2.

Last year it was Marco Bezzecchi who claimed glory, beating Johann Zarco and Marc Marquez to the top step of the podium.

Now, both Bezzecchi and Marquez are among those challenging at the top of the standings, so they will hope for success again.

The latter, a seven-time world champion, heads into the British Grand Prix after victory in Germany, fending off Ai Ogura.

A very busy weekend of racing action is planned for the MotoGP stars and racegoing fans alike at Silverstone.

And here are all the timings for practice, qualifying and the Grand Prix, as well as how to watch the race at home…

MotoGP British Grand Prix: Date and start time

The MotoGP British Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, August 9.

Lights out at Silverstone is scheduled for 1pm.

Ahead of race day, the weekend begins with FP1 starting at 11:45am on Friday, August 7, and Practice at 4pm on the same day.

On Saturday, August 8, FP2 at 11:10am is then followed by Qualifying 1 and 2, which are set for 11:50am and 12:15pm respectively.

MotoGP British Grand Prix: Where to watch

Fans will be able to watch the action live on TNT Sports and HBO Max.

Every session from Silverstone will be broadcast on the TNT Sports TV channel and can be streamed online via HBO Max too.
