What Rams’ Puka Nacua posted about Cooper Kupp winning Super Bowl with Seahawks

On Sunday evening, the Seattle Seahawks won the Super Bowl with a dominant defensive performance over the New England Patriots in Santa Clara. The Seahawks got to this point with a narrow victory over the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship Game two weeks ago, pitting wide receiver Cooper Kupp against his old team.

After Seattle’s win on Sunday night, Rams receiver and Kupp’s former teammate Puka Nacua took to X, formerly Twitter, with a simple congratulatory message for his friend.

“Cooooooop,” wrote Nacua on the social media platform.

Earlier in the night, Nacua had drawn heavy criticism from fans for seemingly sneak dissing Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold, simply writing the quarterback’s name along with a laughing emoji, and finding himself flooded with fans reminding him that Darnold had beaten his team two weeks prior.

However, it seems that Nacua has no ill will toward Kupp, who in many ways helped him develop into the star he is today during their time as teammates in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, the Rams have to be kicking themselves after seeing how easily the Seahawks were able to beat the Patriots on Sunday night, and knowing that they came oh so close to knocking off Seattle in the NFC Championship Game. The Rams had numerous opportunities to pull off a win in that one, but ultimately, Sean McVay’s decision to go for it on fourth down late in the final quarter, as well as the Rams’ inability to get a stop on the Seahawks’ ensuing possession, ended Los Angeles’ chances at a second Super Bowl in the McVay era.

Still, with Nacua in the fray and theoretically just now entering his prime, and with Matthew Stafford returning to the team after his MVP season in 2025, the Rams figure to once again be right back in the mix heading into next year.
