What Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla has learned about business from Triple H talks

Earlier this year, on Mar. 23, 2026, fans remember watching Monday Night RAW from the TD Garden in Boston, MA. The show was attended by two Boston Celtics superstars, coach Joe Mazzulla and shooting guard Derrick White.

During the show, both Mazzulla and White were shown multiple times in the crowd watching the episode. As the cameras panned toward them, Mazzulla was even seen playfully brawling with White, which was heavily enjoyed by the crowd and even went viral on the internet.

During White’s appearance on Run It Back on Fan Duel TV, he shared how Mazzulla met with Triple H about learning WWE’s way of doing business and potentially doing the same with the Celtics.

Derrick White reflects on attending WWE RAW with coach Joe Mazzulla

In the same interview, he was asked about his experience attending WWE RAW alongside his coach. “I just started watching it a little bit, and I realized they were going to be in the Garden and they were going to be in town, so I was like ‘I’m going to go’ and Joe [Mazzulla] was like ‘I’m going to go too.’ It was just like a fun thing, we were kind of just chilling, we were in the suite for a while, and then he’s like ‘You’ve never been to one of these before, you’ve got to see it ringside,'” White said. The 31-year-old attended the show with his wife, coach Mazzulla, and his son.

“That was a lot of fun, actually. He was like, ‘Next time we go out there we’re going to have to get in the ring and actually have a fight or something.’ So that was a lot of fun, it turned out really well,” White said while reflecting on the evening.
