The New York Knicks moved within one win of the Eastern Conference Finals after a 109-94 Game 3 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. New York has now won six straight playoff games and holds a 3-0 series lead despite playing Game 3 without OG Anunoby.

And well, Karl-Anthony Towns and head coach Mike Brown were in good spirit post-game. KAT was asked about the offensive adjustments the Knicks have made, but Brown ended up interrupting the interview with a hilarious response, per a post on X by Knicks Videos.

“He’s gonna tell the truth, Mike’s done a s–tty job, but Mike’s trying and KAT and the rest of the players are carrying Mike’s big behind,” he said, taking no credit for his team’s current run.

Jalen Brunson once again dictated the game offensively and closed it out when Philadelphia threatened to make a final push. After opening just 2-for-8 from the field, he settled in and finished with 33 points and nine assists on 11-for-22 shooting across 38 minutes.

Miles Bridges scored 23 points on 8-for-14 shooting and repeatedly punished Philadelphia late in possessions. Over New York’s last four playoff games, Bridges has averaged more than 20 points while shooting nearly 70% from the field and better than 50% from three-point range.

Landry Shamet delivered 15 points in 26 minutes off the bench while shooting 5-for-6 from the field and 2-for-3 from deep. KAT himself did not have a good night offensively, finishing with just eight points alongside 12 rebounds and seven assists, going 3-8 from the field.

The Sixers initially appeared positioned to change the series after building a 12-point first-quarter lead behind Paul George’s hot start and Embiid’s return. But Philadelphia’s offense collapsed after the opening period.

George missed all nine shots after the first quarter and finished scoreless over the final three quarters. Tyrese Maxey added 17 points while Embiid finished with 18 points in 35 minutes

Of course, the 76ers now face historic odds. No team in NBA history has recovered from a 3-0 deficit in a best-of-seven series, and the Knicks are now one win away from their second straight Eastern Conference Finals appearance.
