UFC icon Conor McGregor flamed for hilarious drone delivery fail

Ever since making his five-year-long return at UFC 329 against Max Holloway and suffering an injury, Conor McGregor has found himself on the receiving end of jokes. While fans targeted his failed comeback to his ACL injury, even Paul Heyman and WWE joined in and made fun of McGregor’s return.

Now, just days after undergoing his career’s fifth surgery, “The Notorious One” found himself again getting trolled. In a video now going viral on social media, McGregor could be seen attempting to grab a can of his Mac Energy from a high-flying drone delivery machine while balancing on crutches. In the clip, McGregor reached over the edge of the balcony as onlookers watched him struggle. The Irish fighter could not catch the delivery drone on his first attempt, but eventually secured it after several failed attempts. After grabbing the can, McGregor was seen hopping off without his crutches.

This moment went viral as fans soon started making jokes about it. “Rebooking his own comeback fight three separate times, but a drone drop is what gives him trouble,” wrote one fan. While another one commented, “0-1 against technology.” “He won a decision against a can… I’m surprised he didn’t get injured,” commented one more person. “Khabib controlling the drone,” joked another person, while throwing a shade at McGregor’s loss to Nurmagomedov in 2018.

In his return fight, McGregor, 38, tore his ACL just 69 seconds into the fight. The match was soon called off, and Holloway was declared the winner. Despite generating a record gate for the UFC, McGregor was unable to fight even two minutes after returning from an injury and controversies. McGregor is now expected to return and enter his last fight in 2027.
