Tyson Fury vs Mariusz Wach undercard in full: Former school teacher stars in heavyweight-filled action

Tyson Fury takes on Mariusz Wach in Thailand on Friday in what is expected to be a very unique night of boxing action.

And just hours before things get started, the undercard for the evening is still yet to be officially confirmed.

Fury is taking on Wach in preparation for his long-awaited blockbuster bout with British heavyweight rival Anthony Joshua.

However, the fight is not going to be broadcast anywhere on TV, with it said that it will only be filmed for his Netflix series.

That has meant it has been a very different build-up, as details regarding fight times and match-ups aren’t confirmed.

But here’s who we know is on the Fury vs Wach undercard:

As of Thursday, there is only one announced fight for the undercard, with four other opponents yet to be named.

Daniel Baer vs Simon Ibekwe is the sole bout confirmed.

German heavyweight Baer has won 15 of his 17 career fights, winning 14 of those via knockout, losing his only fight in 2024.

The 30-year-old’s most recent clash in the ring in January ended in a draw against unbeaten Austrian, Seun Salami.

He takes on Ibekwe, who is actually a former school teacher and had football trials at West Ham and Everton as a youngster.

The Englishman has never lost and is also the sparring partner of ex-British heavyweight champion Jeamie TKV.

His record of 6-0, which includes three knockouts, is on the line in Thailand as he takes on Baer on the Fury vs Wach undercard.

Also on the card are four boxing stars who do not yet have an opponent revealed for their fights.

Michael Alan Flannery will be in action, with the Brit boasting a 14-1 record heading into his bout on Friday night.

He has 12 KOs in his 15 outings, regularly fighting in Thailand and beating Prachak Porkha in his last bout in October.

Lucas Dassios fights professionally for the second time, having won his first by KO, while Leicester-born Mark Ahondjo, who is also on the card, has one win and one draw in his pro career so far.

And fellow English boxer Arlo Stephens is fighting too, with him having two wins from two bouts, including one knockout victory.

Fury vs Wach will take place on Friday, July 24 at the Max Muay Thai Stadium in Pattaya, Thailand.

Timings are not confirmed, but the main event is expected to get underway at 4pm UK time, which is 10pm local.
