Tyson Fury sheds 13lbs but is still heavier than Arslanbek Makhmudov at weigh-in

Tyson Fury was 13.1lbs lighter on the scales on Friday than he was against Oleksandr Usyk last time out.

‘The Gypsy King’ is now just 24 hours away from locking horns with Arslanbek Makhmudov in his long-awaited comeback fight at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It marks Fury’s first fight in 16 months after briefly retiring from the sport for a fifth time in January last year.

His decision came following back-to-back defeats over the distance to Usyk.

Fury weighed a career heaviest 281lbs for his rematch with the Ukrainian in December 2024, although he stepped on the scales fully clothed.

Ahead of his return to the ring against Makhmudov, he was a considerably trimmer 267.9lbs.

Makhmudov, meanwhile, gained 3.9lbs from his last outing against Dave Allen, tipping the scales at 264.9lbs.

There is a lot at stake for Fury this weekend, who cannot afford to slip up if he hopes to finally duke it out with Anthony Joshua later this year.

Alluding to that fight during his interview with Netflix, Fury said: “I’ve got to get this big man out of there, and then I have got the big man next…

“But I can’t overlook this big man in front of me [Makhmudov].

“I’ve come in nice and light, nice and lean, and I’m ready to rock and roll.

“I feel on top of the world, look where I am, central London, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, full of Brits, I’m fighting a big Russian, it’s unbelievable.
