Tyson Fury dwarfed by over 25lbs heavier rival Mariusz Wach in rare moment as pair make weight

Tyson Fury was outweighed by Mariusz Wach in a rare moment on the scales before his return clash.

Fury stepped on the scales ahead of his secretive warm-up fight against Mariusz Wach in Thailand tomorrow night.

Victory for the Briton will be the key step in setting up his signed clash with Anthony Joshua, which will likely land at the back end of 2026, providing his rival beats Kristian Prenga on Saturday night.

It was the 46-year-old Polish veteran who was first on the scales as he weighed in at 291.4lbs.

Fury was dwarfed by his opponent in comparison, coming in at 265lbs for the clash, looking lean and in great shape.

His weight sees the Briton shedding 2lbs more than for his comeback victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov in April.

And he is far lighter than for his rematch defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024, which saw him come in at a career-hevaiest 281lbs.

It sees him outweighed by 26lbs, which has happened few and far between in Fury’s career.

Only Derek Chisora in their first meeting in 2011, John McDermott and Daniil Peretyatko have ever come in heavier than the Morecambe giant.

The pair then came together again for one final face-off, as Fury tried to tower over and show he was bigger than Wach.

Fury and Wach burst out laughing in a comical moment, and shook hands with huge respect between the former champion and the journeyman.

In his final words before the clash, Fury said: “I’ve put in lots of work.

“I feel fitter, sharper and stronger. I’ve never faced a man heavier than me [sic].

“I’m normally always the fat c***. I’m Mr Slim now. I’m delighted to be here and there is fans here from everyone all over the world.

“I want to keep busy, I’m not banking myself on any fight that may or may not happen.

“This is the year I want Tyson Fury to stay busy, I may even have ten fights this year.

“I’ve had one fight in ten years, I want to box his head off for ten rounds ideally, but if it goes off earlier then that is ideal.”
