Tyrese Haliburton drops hammer on haters who criticize his affinity for ‘white girls’

Tyrese Haliburton isn’t losing sleep over the internet chatter. If anything, he’s laughing it off.

During a recent appearance with Cam’ron on the “Come and Talk 2 Me” podcast, the Indiana Pacers star addressed criticism tied to his personal life, specifically comments about him often being seen around white women.

“That don’t bother me,” Haliburton said, smiling. “My fiancée, she’s a white girl.”

The moment wasn’t tense. It felt direct, calm, and rooted in reality. Haliburton didn’t dodge the topic. He leaned into it with clarity.

Haliburton keeps it real about his roots and relationship

The 26-year-old pointed to something simple, his upbringing. Growing up in Wisconsin shaped his environment, and so did his fiancée Jade Jones’ background in Iowa.

“I grew up around all white people,” he explained. “She did too.”

That context extended to a viral clip that sparked much of the noise. The video showed Haliburton stepping out of a Sprinter van surrounded by white women, which quickly fueled assumptions online. He shut that down just as quickly.

“Those are her sister and friends from growing up,” he said. “These are our people.”

His relationship with Jones adds another layer to the story. The two met at Iowa State, where she cheered, and their bond has only strengthened over time. In July 2025, Haliburton proposed inside Hilton Coliseum, tying their present to where everything began.

Jones later reflected on a season filled with highs and heartbreak, especially after Haliburton’s Achilles injury during the NBA Finals. Her words captured both pride and emotion, reinforcing the foundation behind their relationship.

Haliburton’s message stayed consistent throughout, he knows who he is, and outside opinions won’t change that.
