Some might not have liked seeing 36-year-old Travis Kelce chugging a beer at Game 3 between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the New York Knicks in front of Taylor Swift, his fiancée.

During the May 27, 2026, edition of New Heights, his brother, Jason Kelce, poked fun at the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. He jokingly condemned his actions, saying, “You [are] f*****g classless. You’re a role model, Travis! You cannot be out there chugging beers in public!”

However, Travis wasn’t having any criticisms of his beer chug. He called it a “classy” chug, pointing out that he “didn’t spill one drop.”

“I didn’t crush the can. I’m on the hardwood floor at an NBA game — it could’ve gotten messy. It was a smooth, classy chug to get the people going,” Kelce said, defending himself.

Maybe he was right. The Cavaliers were down 2-0 heading into Game 3, and they lost by double digits. Perhaps Kelce was just trying to give the team a jolt.

Kelce’s “classy” beer chug — he did have his pinky up while drinking — happened in between the action during Game 3 between the Knicks and Cavaliers, right before the fourth quarter began.

At the time, the Cavs were down by nine points and at risk of going down 3-0 in their series. He then chugged a beer while Swift’s song “Ready for It?” played in the background at Rocket Arena.

This didn’t spark a comeback, as the Cavs were outscored 30-26 in the fourth quarter. They lost the game by 13 points, giving New York a 3-0 lead. The Knicks would send the Cavaliers packing one game later at Rocket Arena.

Kelce and Swift were the story of Game 3, though. Some Knicks celebrity fans were willing to travel to the games in Cleveland, namely Spike Lee, Ben Stiller, and Timothée Chalamet, but Kelce and Swift are one of the biggest power couples in the world.
