Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s non-negotiable wedding guest rule revealed

Tight End University is back for another year, and one thing remains the same.

Taylor Swift, fiancee of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, attended the opening day of the event for the second-straight year.

Swift gave last year’s attendees a performance of ‘Shake it Off’ alongside country singer Kane Brown – in what was her first appearance since the Eras tour finished.

This time around, the Grammy winner treated participants with a performance of ‘Love Story’ alongside Lainey Wilson.

Kelce, 49ers tight-end George Kittle and FOX broadcaster Greg Olsen are in their sixth year of hosting the Tight End University.

It is a three-day offseason event dedicated to collaboration, film review, drills, recovery and more at Vanderbilt University for players of the position.

The event’s official Instagram page posted a photo of Kelce, Swift, Kittle, his wife Ciara, Olsen and his daughter on the opening night.

Kittle expressed his gratitude to Swift and Kelce’s presence, seemingly referencing their wedding, which is set to take place next in the first weekend of July.

“[Swift] is just such an awesome person to give us her time this close to their wedding, so we’re just so thankful that they’re here,” Kittle told PEOPLE on Tuesday.

“She’s just hanging out, talking to my mom,” he added. “Shoutout Taylor for talking to my mom again. But she’s just so kind, and it’s awesome to have her around.”

Kittle also revealed a strict rule that is in place when the pair are set to tie the knot at Madison Square Garden – home of the NBA‘s New York Knicks and NHL‘s Rangers.

“They said absolutely no gifts,” Kittle told Extra TV.

“But Travis, for some reason, really likes old coins, so I might give him an old coin. It’s not expensive too.”

Kittle’s admission might imply that he has received an invitation to the wedding, but the guest list is being kept under close wraps.

Kelce’s head coach, Andy Reid, joked he has given up cheeseburgers in order to fit into his suit, but even with that he didn’t confirm his attendance.

Reid’s love for play-calling is only surpassed by his passion for cheeseburgers, and so there was only one option for his Christmas present back in 2022,

There is expected to be a heightened security presence in the city that weekend, but unlikely to be as secure as it was for Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

A source the New York Post’s Page Six that privacy was of the upmost importance when it came to selecting a venue for the couple’s upcoming nuptials.

The potential plan would involve guests being transported to the venue on blacked-out buses, taking advantage of MSG’s multiple entrances and highly secure infrastructure.

It’s so surprise Swift and Kelce are reported to be tying the knot in New York – with the pop star having close ties to the Big Apple.

In 2014, her hit ‘Welcome to New York’ was released and was perceived as an ode to the city.

When her soon-to-be husband was a free agent, he was linked with the New York Giants to follow Swift’s wishes of moving to the city full time.
