Transfer Notebook: Tottenham target rival goalkeeper to replace Vicario, West Ham and Crystal Palace eye Chelsea outcast, bad news for Sterling
Tottenham are eyeing a summer swoop for Sunderland goalkeeper Robin Roefs.
Spurs are facing a fight to keep their current No.1 Guglielmo Vicario, who is attracting interest from Italian giants Inter Milan.

The impressive Roefs, a bargain £11million buy from NEC Nijmegen last summer, is among the options to replace Vicario.
Dutch international Roefs, 23, has kept seven Premier League clean sheets this season and only Burnley’s Martin Dubravka has made more saves.
He is under contract at the Stadium of Light until 2030.
Premier League duo eye Chelsea outcast
Axel Disasi is a player to watch in the final week of the transfer window.
Disasi was recently welcomed back into first-team training from Chelsea’s so-called ‘bomb squad’, but has not played for the Blues since May 2024.
Chelsea recalling Aaron Anselmino from his loan at Borussia Dortmund has only shoved Disasi further down the pecking order.
West Ham and Crystal Palace are among the Premier League clubs keeping tabs on the Frenchman ahead of the window closing next Monday.
Frozen-out Sterling set to stay in the cold
One player who looks destined to be left stranded at Stamford Bridge is Raheem Sterling.
The £300,000-a-week England international is still training away from the Chelsea first-team, but hopes of a move in this window seem to be fading fast.
Sterling was subject of loan offer from West Ham earlier in the window, but is only interested in a permanent move while Fulham’s interest looks to have cooled as they close in on Manchester City’s Oscar Bobb.

Bayern Munich made an approach for Sterling in the final hours of the summer transfer window, but Sterling’s preference has always been to stay in London.
So, barring any late drama, he is likely to see out at least the rest of the season without kicking a ball.
Marinakis’ manager plan-B
Nottingham Forest retain an interest in Fulham boss Marco Silva.
Silva is out of contract at the end of the season and yet to commit to signing a new deal.
The Portuguese previously worked under Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis during his time in charge of Olympiacos, whom he guided to the Greek title.
Forest boss Sean Dyche signed a contract until the summer of 2027 when he became Forest’s third manager of the season in October.

However, there were rumblings heading into the weekend win at Brentford that Marinakis was unhappy with a recent run of one win in eight games in all competitions.
