Tony Romo blasted for ‘insufferable’ Bills-Broncos call as double injury stops play after four seconds
Tony Romo continues to prove an unpopular choice in the booth.
The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback in on the call for the Buffalo Bills at Denver Broncos as part of CBS Sports’ top team alongside Jim Nantz and Tracy Wolfson.

After being forced to defend his previous performance when calling the Bills’ Wild Card triumph, he didn’t get off to the best start on Saturday.
Dorian Williams and Marvin Mims both went down injured on the opening kickoff as the feed cut to an ad break.
By the time the action had resumed, the anti-Romo sentiment was all over social media.
“That’s why Tony Romo makes the big bucks having the insight to tell us Bill-Broncos will be a very physical game,” wrote one fan.
Another added: “Tony Romo insider info starting early. Two injured on opening kickoff. ‘It’s going to be a very physical game today Jim.'”
“One play into this game and Tony Romo is already insufferable,” a third posted.
A fourth asked: “Did Tony Romo just say the Bills don’t miss tackles often? Has he watched a Bills game this year?”
Buffalo linebacker Williams had his teammates worried after staying down following a helmet-to-helmet collision as the backboard was brought out.
Thankfully, he was able to walk off the field, with Mims heading for the blue medical tent.
Romo was on the call for the Bills’ win over the Jacksonville Jaguars and left viewers frustrated by making strange noises and pointing out obvious things on the field.

Some views are calling for No. 2 color analyst J.J. Watt to be promoted, but CBS is standing by its top team.
Romo seemed to blame illness in a chat with SiriusXM’s Adam Schein on Wednesday.
“Oh yeah, we had a bunch of guys sick, we were just grinding through it,” Romo said.
“But you’re not gonna miss a playoff game, it’s too much fun.”
Schein asked Romo if he pays attention to the outside noise — without referencing the Bills-Jags game.
“Anytime you’re in a position like we are — we’re on the air for three and a half hours — you’re always trying to do the best you can and everything,” he replied.
