Bayern Munich vs Stuttgart predictions and betting tips – Kompany’s crew closing in

It is a matter of when rather than if Bayern Munich are crowned champions of Germany again. Ahead of the weekend, Vincent Kompany’s men are 12 points clear of Borussia Dortmund with five rounds of fixtures remaining.

Bayern could even wrap up the title this weekend. Will they take care of business against Stuttgart, or will Dortmund still be mathematically alive for a little while longer?

Bayern Munich vs Stuttgart predictions

Bayern Munich are within touching distance of the Bundesliga title, but the mood at the Allianz Arena would have been glum had Wednesday night’s result gone differently.

Leading 2-1 from the first leg, Bayern welcomed Real Madrid to Bavaria for the second instalment of their Champions League quarter-final.

Vincent Kompany’s men were put through their paces. Madrid had wiped out Bayern’s aggregate lead within seconds of kick-off.

In total, they were ahead on the night (and equal over two legs) three times in a thrilling first half, which ended with Madrid 3-2 up.

The pace slowed a little after the interval, but it was still an enthralling contest. Both sides had chances, but the game’s eighth goal did not arrive until the 89th minute, by which time Madrid were down to 10 men.

Luis Diaz bent in a wonderful strike to put Bayern ahead on aggregate once more, before an even better goal from Michael Olise earned them a 4-3 victory in the second leg.

“The boys were mentally strong today to recover from setbacks,” Kompany said afterwards. “The fans helped us as well. We stayed calm and always felt that our moment would come. The boys deserved this win. What remains for me is the total togetherness that we showed.”

The Champions League is Bayern’s principal focus every year. Bayer Leverkusen’s title triumph the season before last showed that the Bavarians are not guaranteed to be champions, but the financial and structural advantages they enjoy within Germany mean the Bundesliga alone is not enough to satisfy Bayern’s players, staff and supporters.

Still, that does not mean there will not be any celebrations when Bayern get over the line. This has been a dominant season for Kompany’s side, who have already scored the most goals in a Bundesliga campaign with 105.

A win this weekend would, at the very least, leave Bayern on the brink of the title. They currently lead Borussia Dortmund by 12 points with five games remaining.

Theoretically, Dortmund would still be able to catch Bayern if both sides triumphed this weekend, but the champions have a vastly superior goal difference which BVB will not be able to better.

If Dortmund were to drop points against Hoffenheim on Saturday, a Bayern victory over Stuttgart the following day would confirm the Bavarians as title winners.

Bayern Munich vs Stuttgart betting tips

Bayern Munich return to Bundesliga action at home to Stuttgart this weekend.

Another Bayern win

Stuttgart are no pushovers, so Bayern Munich cannot afford to take their foot off the gas on Sunday.

Sebastian Hoeness’ side are third in the Bundesliga heading into the weekend. A four-point lead over fifth-placed Bayer Leverkusen means they are well positioned to qualify for the Champions League.

However, it is difficult to see Stuttgart getting anything for their trip to Munich, especially if a Bayern victory would officially wrap up the title.

Bayern won the reverse fixture 5-0, and while we do not necessarily expect such a one-sided outcome this weekend, the champions-elect should triumph by at least two clear goals.

Goals await again

Bayern Munich have been nothing short of sensational going forward this season.

With 105 goals in 29 Bundesliga matches, Bayern are averaging 3.62 per 90 minutes. More often than not, they score enough goals themselves for this bet to pay out.

Throw in their opponents and Bayern’s league matches this term are producing an average of 4.55 goals, by the far the highest number in the division.

This wager has been successful in a remarkable 76 percent of Bayern’s top-flight contests in 2025/26. This game is likely to follow that pattern.

Musiala to find net?

Having spent several months on the treatment table, Jamal Musiala is being eased back into the fold by Bayern Munich.

He began both Champions League games against Real Madrid on the bench, with Serge Gnabry starting in the No.10 role behind Harry Kane.

Musiala should be in the XI when Stuttgart visit the Allianz Arena next up. He started against St Pauli last weekend and found the back of the net in a 5-0 win.

Musiala has scored three goals in his last six games, and some of those appearances have come from the bench. He can make his mark on Sunday too.
