Tom Holland’s $100 million Spider-Man: Brand New Day salary emerges after movie crossed $2 billion

It’s no secret that Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a box office hit, and lead actor Tom Holland is reaping the benefits with his $100+ million salary.

The Wrap reports that Holland will earn over $100 million for Brand New Day. He received a base salary of “at least” $20 million, which is $10 million more than No Way Home, and he has the potential to earn more than $100 million once the backend box office bonuses are finalized.

According to The Wrap, the backend bonus isn’t capped. That means that there isn’t a ceiling on how much he can make from the box office receipts.

This is likely the highest payday of Holland’s career. The Wrap noted that his first role as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War in 2016 earned him $250,000. That’s not a bad paycheck, but he has since starred in four solo movies and two Avengers movies (Infinity War and Endgame).

He would make $500,000 for his first solo movie, Homecoming, before his salaries increased with the next two films. He earned $4 million and $10 million for Far From Home and No Way Home, respectively.

His contract expired following No Way Home, which made nearly $2 billion at the box office. A new deal was negotiated by WME agents Andrew Dunlap, James Farrell, and Liam Buckley, as well as his lawyer, Robert Offer.

In just three weeks, Brand New Day has made over $2 billion worldwide. That makes it the highest-grossing Spider-Man movie ever (worldwide). It is still catching up to No Way Home’s domestic total ($804 million).

Holland has had a big summer. He first starred in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, which has made almost $1.3 billion worldwide. Two weeks later, Brand New Day swung into theaters and has made over $2 billion. He not only stars in the two highest-grossing movies of the year so far, but Holland is also in two of the five movies to make over $1 billion this year.
