Timberwolves news: Naz Reid hilariously asked to hold newborn fan before Game 3 vs. Spurs

Naz Reid and the Minnesota Timberwolves returned home for Games 3 and 4 of their second round series against the San Antonio Spurs. Despite losing Game 2, the Wolves stole Game 1 in San Antonio and have two games at home to try and take a 3-1 series lead over the Spurs.

Before tipping off Game 3 on Friday night, fans lined up to watch their favorite teams and players warm up for the contest. When Reid went to warm up, however, he got a very special request from a pair of fans by the players tunnel.

Timberwolves reporter Sneaker Reporter captured a video of Naz Reid being asked to hold a baby and pose for a photo with the infant. That’s probably one of the more weird requests Reid has received from fans, but a fan favorite, Reid obliged.

The 2023-24 Sixth Man of the Year, Naz Reid had a strong season for the Wolves averaging 13.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.0 steal, and 1.0 block per game while shooting 45.6 percent from the field and 36.2 percent from three.

Thus far in this series, Reid has averaged 11.5 points and 8.0 rebounds while shooting 60 percent from the field and 71.4 percent from three in 25 minutes of play.
