Ivan Toney charged with assault after incident at Soho nightclub

England striker Ivan Toney has been charged with assault following an incident in London last December.

A statement from the Met Police read: “Ivan Toney, 30, of Northampton, was charged on Thursday, 31 July with assault causing actual bodily harm.

“He will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 24 September.

“The charge relates to an assault, which reportedly took place on 6 December 2025 at a nightclub on Wardour Street, W1.”

Toney is alleged to have headbutted a person at a venue in Soho.

According to reports, the incident was sparked by a fan who grabbed the England international for a photo, only to be pushed away.

After Toney repeatedly requested the man to get off of him, he allegedly dished out a headbutt.

Five officers were reportedly dispatched to the venue to deal with the situation.

The man who was headbutted by Toney got taken to a local hospital in an ambulance.

However, his injuries were not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.

Toney was arrested at the scene on suspicion of two counts of assault and one count of affray.
