‘This is legendary’ – Ranking Travis Kelce’s greatest games with Taylor Swift watching the Chiefs

Travis Kelce was on a Hall of Fame path long before he met Taylor Swift.

But there’s no doubt that the pop music superstar has had a positive impact on Kelce’s life, and now the world is waiting on their marriage.

What started as an internet rumor in September 2023 has become an unavoidable fact in 2025.

Swift proudly supports Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid and the Chiefs, and it’s easy to find the “Shake It Off” singer simply by looking at the NFL schedule and seeing where Kansas City is playing.

The next opportunity is a huge Thanksgiving matchup against the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium.

While Jerry Jones tries to prove he was right in trading Micah Parsons, the Chiefs (6-5) are in third place in the AFC West and in danger of missing the playoffs for the first time since 2014.

Kelce is already one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history, and he’s returned for his 13th season after considering retirement.

10. December 10, 2023 – Bills 20, Chiefs 17

Statistics: 6 catches, 83 yards

This tough Kansas City loss is still remembered for the brilliant lateral touchdown pass that was erased.

Kelce caught a ball thrown by Mahomes, then decided to throw the ball to Kadarius Toney, who ran for a thrilling 49-yard touchdown … that was taken off the board after an offside penalty.

“I’ve never seen a play like that in the NFL,” Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott said.

The Chiefs fell to the Bills at Arrowhead and dropped to 8-5.

But Kelce was about to begin a run that would end with his third Super Bowl trophy.

9. January 13, 2024 – Chiefs 26, Dolphins 7 (Wild Card)

Stats: 7 catches, 71 yards

Andy Reid‘s mustache froze and Mahomes shattered his helmet.

The Chiefs embraced the fourth-coldest game in NFL history by torching Miami at Arrowhead.

“We knew it was going to be cold,” Mahomes said.

“All week we were preaching, ‘Let’s come in there with that fire and just get after it and see what happens.’ “

8. January 18, 2025 – Chiefs 23, Texans 14 (Divisional Round)

Stats: 7 catches, 117 yards, TD

This was an all-around win.

Kelce was the best receiver on the field, throwing it back to his glory days with game highs in catches (seven) and receiving yards (117).

Swift watched the Chiefs hold off the Texans 23-14 while WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark rooted on her favorite team.

On a day when NFL refs were in the middle of serious drama, Kansas City followed Kelce on the way back to the AFC Championship.

“We’re fortunate we’ve got a lot of great character guys in the building,” Kelce said.

“On top of that, as the years have gone on, we only got here by focusing on the task at hand.

“You don’t you don’t get a three-peat by looking past that.”

7. October 12, 2023 – Chiefs 19, Broncos 8

Stats: 9 catches, 124 yards

With “Swift Watch” hitting overdrive, Kansas City continued its winning ways.

Kelce had more than one-third of the Chiefs’ receiving yards on a night when KC struggled to find the end zone.

“Red zone and some third downs, we didn’t execute at a high enough level,” Mahomes said.

“I still think there were a lot of good things we can take from it.”

The Chiefs would reach 7-2 before facing a midseason crossroads.

15. Kansas City Chiefs (6-5)

The Chiefs also face a massive battle on Thanksgiving.

It’s hard to imagine Kansas City falling to 6-6, then winning the Super Bowl.

6. September 24, 2023 – Chiefs 41, Bears 10

Stats: 7 catches, 69 yards, touchdown

The game when Mahomes started believing that Kelce and Swift were really a thing.

During a practice, Kansas City’s star tight end casually mentioned that the new Queen of Pop might attend the Chiefs’ upcoming contest against Chicago.

“Some things with Travis, he says it and you don’ t know if it’s true or not, he says it so calmly,” Mahomes said.

Swift did show up, and Kelce put on a show.

As the Chiefs blew up the scoreboard with a 34-0 halftime lead, Swift’s new boyfriend had another classic Kelce game.

5. January 21, 2024 – Chiefs 27, Bills 24 (Divisional Round)

Stats: 5 catches, 75 yards, 2 TDs

The party was on.

As big brother Jason chugged bears and embraced the cold by going shirtless in front of the Bills Mafia, Kelce had one of his best playoff games at the perfect time.

Kelce led all receivers in yards (75) and touchdowns (two).

Mahomes outplayed Josh Allen and, paired with now super-famous No. 87, passed Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski in the NFL record book.

“It speaks to Travis and his work, to be able to go out there and make plays in big games,” said Mahomes, after he threw his record 16th playoff TD to Kelce.

“Passing anything that has Brady and Gronk in it is special. Because those are two of the greatest players.”

4. November 4, 2024 – Chiefs 30, Buccaneers 24 in overtime

Stats: 14 catches, 100 yards

Kelce had a new teammate and immediately benefited from the extra weapon.

DeAndre Hopkins, who was acquired in a midseason trade, caught eight balls for 86 yards and two TDs.

Kelce was even more impressive, recording game highs in receptions (14) and receiving yards (100).

With Swift back at Arrowhead, the Chiefs improved to a perfect 8-0 in 2024 and kept marching toward another potential Super Bowl.

Asked about D-Hop, Kelce called his new teammate a “swag champ.”

“It gives everybody confidence,” Kelce said. “It gives everybody the ability to just play free.”

3. January 28, 2024 – Chiefs 17, Ravens 10 (AFC Championship)

Stats: 11 catches, 116 yards, TD

If there was any doubt about Kelce and Swift being a real item, this ticket to the Super Bowl ended it.

An on-field kiss sealed Kansas City’s road triumph over Lamar Jackson and the Ravens, with another huge playoff game from Swift’s boyfriend.

Kelce caught 11 balls for a game-high 116 yards and a TD, and he was often the best player on the field.

“The Chiefs are still the Chiefs,” Kelce said.

2. Oct. 22, 2023 – Chiefs 31, Chargers 17

Stats: 12 catches, 179 yards, TD

Mahomes had a monster game with 424 yards and four touchdowns.

Kelce was equally impressive, catching 12 passes for 179 yards and a TD.

As he kept moving up the all-time list for the greatest tight ends in NFL history, a man approaching 35 years old threw it back to his youthful peak.

As for Swift, she was seen sporting an “87” friendship bracelet that honored Kelce’s jersey number.

After Kelce initially failed to give her a bracelet near the start of the Eras Tour, he was putting up huge numbers with his new girlfriend — and the world — watching.

“The main thing with Travis is the way he’s able to recognize coverage and adjust on the fly,” Mahomes said.

“We always talk about it, but you can’t take it for granted.

“He can read the coverages, stop in the windows and be on the same page as me.”

1. February 11, 2024 – Chiefs 25, 49ers 22 in OT (Super Bowl LVIII)

The dream came true in Las Vegas.

On a night when Kelce screamed in Reid’s face and Swift had to fly across the world just to watch her boyfriend in person, Kansas City cemented its dynasty with an instant classic.

“The goal has always been to get three,” Kelce said.

“But we couldn’t get here without getting that two, and having that target on our back all year.

“How about that? We get a chance to do it three times in a row.”

The biggest kiss arrived after Mahomes threw a 3-yard TD to Mecole Hardman with 3 seconds left in overtime.

What started with a rumor in September 2023 ended with Kelce inspiring Kansas City to one of the best Super Bowl finishes in NFL history.

“With all the adversity we’ve been through this season to come through … I’m proud of the guys,” Mahomes said.

“This is awesome. Legendary.”
