Texans’ Azeez Al-Shaair immediately shuts down injury concerns after training camp scare

Training camp is underway for the Houston Texans as the team prepares for the upcoming 2026-27 season. Unfortunately, there were some injuries sustained during practice on Tuesday, as Azeez Al-Shaair was reportedly one of the players who got banged up on a play. The good news is that Al-Shaair seems completely fine now.

Initial reports claimed that the 29-year-old linebacker, along with tight end Dalton Schultz, was shaken up near the end of practice, according to Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle. It’s said that Al-Shaair left the field of his own accord.

“Limited menu in team drills, but C.J. Stroud was crisp today,” Alexander reported. “Unfortunately, two injuries to key players at the end of practice. Azeez Al-Shaair and Dalton Schultz both went down.”

But shortly after, while talking with media members, the seven-year veteran proclaimed that he feels great, per Alexander. It does not appear the injury concern was anything serious, as Al-Shaair appeared to be fine while standing at the podium fielding questions.

“Great,” Al-Shaair said when asked how he feels after falling to injury.

This story is currently developing, and more information will be available soon.
