Katie Taylor vs Flora Pili: Date, undercard and how to watch legend’s retirement fight

Katie Taylor will get her fairytale send-off this autumn.

After years of campaigning for a fight at Croke Park, the Irish boxing legend’s wish has finally been granted.

Taylor (25-1) will bid an emotional farewell to boxing at the home of the Gaelic games against unbeaten Frenchwoman Flora Pili in front of 82,000 adoring fans.

To sweeten the deal, the WBC has thrown the vacant WBC strap on the line to provide Taylor with the opportunity to become a two-time undisputed super lightweight champion.

Taylor, now 40 years old, has achieved everything there is to in boxing.

From Olympic gold in the amateurs to two-weight undisputed supremacy in the pros, Taylor is a nailed-on first-ballot Hall of Famer, and may just be the greatest female boxer to ever grace the ring.

Her final adversary, the little-known Pili (12-0), has the chance to ruin Taylor’s farewell party and change the course of her own career after being called as the IBF mandatory.

Taylor and Pili will square off on September 5 in Dublin, Ireland.

All of the action is being streamed live on DAZN, with main card action getting underway from 7pm BST.

The headliners are then expected to make their ring walks at 10pm BST.
