Tarik Skubal chokes up after getting traded to Dodgers during Tigers-Athletics game
Following weeks of speculation, the Detroit Tigers finally traded starter Tarik Skubal on Saturday night. Skubal is headed to the Los Angeles Dodgers, in a move that solidifies L.A. as a favorite to win this year’s World Series.
After hearing that he was traded, Skubal got incredibly emotional in front of reporters. He fought back tears, but tried to remain level-headed.
“The walk to the clubhouse was very normal,” Skubal said after the game, per ESPN. “I normally go in and do some stuff, move around a little bit, get some treatment.”
