Liverpool to beat Atletico Madrid & Both teams to score @ 21/10

For the second season running Liverpool open their Champions League campaign by hosting Atletico Madrid at Anfield. The Reds were 3-2 winners a year ago and new boss Andoni Iraola will hope to match that result here.

Contrasting weekend results meant Iraola was boosted by gaining his first victory as Reds boss at Ipswich on Friday, while Atleti travel to England off the back of a 3-0 La Liga loss at Athletic Bilbao.

Atleti have never won a Champions League group stage/league phase fixture against an English team, drawing four and losing six. They have, though, scored in 22 of their last 24 group/league phase games.

Liverpool have won their last six league phase matches against Spanish teams and can continue that run in a high-scoring game against Diego Simeone’s side, who have managed just one clean sheet in their last 16 matches in this competition.

Arsenal to beat Napoli, Under 3.5 goals & Viktor Gyokeres to score @ 19/4

Arsenal will be feeling good about themselves after coming from behind to beat Chelsea in the Premier League and the Gunners are in Naples next to face a Napoli side with back-to-back Serie A losses.

Indeed, the hosts have won only two of their last 10 matches in the Champions League proper and face a daunting opening assignment against last season’s runners-up, as Napoli have lost their last three games against English opponents.

Chelsea’s opener at the Emirates on Sunday is the only goal Arsenal have conceded in four games this season.

Viktor Gyokeres came off the bench for his first appearance of the season and could come in from the start in European action. He scored five Champions League goals last season in the run to the final.

The Swede could make the difference in a typically low-scoring Gunners success, as 11 of their 15 Champions League games last season featured three goals or fewer.

Norwich have scored seven Championship goals in two games either side of blanking at Stoke, where they had an xG figure of 1.44. They welcome a Birmingham side who have seen both teams score in their last five games, including a pair of 2-2 draws.

Chelsea entertain Leeds in the EFL Cup and four of the last five meetings between these two sides at Stamford Bridge have produced four or more goals.

Finally, Celtic had to come from behind to win at St Mirren on Saturday, while St Johnstone were 2-1 winners against Hibs on Sunday. The last seven meetings at McDiarmid Park have averaged 3.71 goals per game.
