talkSPORT tips – Best football bets and expert advice for Monday 29 June

The second group of round of 32 matches at the 2026 World Cup see heavyweights Brazil, Germany, Netherlands and Morocco all in action across Monday evening and into the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Here we have three selections taking in each of Brazil versus Japan, Germany against Paraguay and Netherlands taking on Morocco to make up our best bets of the day.

England to reach the Quarter Finals – 40/1

Bet of the Day

Bet of the Day – Netherlands vs Morocco: Over 2.5 goals @ 6/5

During the group stages of the 2026 World Cup, few sides produced more attacking firepower than the Netherlands who eventually topped Group F above Japan.

Having netted 10 goals across their three matches – which included a dominant 5-1 victory over Sweden – no side managed to score more times than Ronald Koeman’s side.

As such, many football fans now see the 2010 runners-up as genuine contenders to lift their first ever World Cup title this time around.

To this point, Sunderland’s Brian Brobbey has been their talismanic figure, netting three goals in total, while wing-back Denzel Dumfries is one of just a handful of players to record multiple assists in the tournament.

But in Ismael Saibari Morocco have their own main forward who’s netted three goals himself during this tournament and, with midfielder Brahim Diaz also grabbing two assists, the 2022 semi-finalists remain potent themselves.

They finished second in Group C, with Brazil just pipping them to top spot courtesy of their better goal difference.

Despite that, Morocco head into this round of 32 clash full of confidence after beating Haiti and Scotland, while netting six goals in the process across their three group stage matches.

With their attacking firepower, matched with the Netherlands, backing over 2.5 goals when the teams meet in Guadalupe could prove a sensible choice.

Bet Builder – Brazil to win in 90 minutes vs Japan, both teams to score & over 8.5 total corners @ 21/4

After drawing 1-1 in a hard-fought contest against Morocco in their first group stage game, Brazil responded to beat both Haiti and Scotland 3-0.

That attacking firepower played a huge part in their topping Group C by virtue of goal difference, with Vinicius Junior and Matheus Cunha sharing the seven goals between them.

The fact that they conceded against Morocco does show their defensive vulnerability when facing tougher opposition though, and as such, Japan will fancy their chances of at least getting on the scoreboard here.

The Samurai Blue had to settle for second spot in Group F behind the Netherlands, but with seven goals netted in total, they still proved themselves as a formidable side and one who many favour to cause an upset in this match.

Draws with the Dutch and Sweden highlight their credentials, and as a result, it’s difficult not to see them score at least once here despite facing one of world football’s toughest teams.

With both Brazil and Japan combining for 27 total corners across their group stage matches, adding the over 8.5 corners selection into the mix offers great overall value.

Acca – Vinicius Junior anytime goalscorer vs Japan & Jamal Musiala anytime goalscorer vs Paraguay @ 23/4

With two goals against Scotland in Brazil’s final group stage match, Vinicius Junior enters the knockout phases of the 2026 World Cup in fine form.

That brace came on the back of the Real Madrid star netting once against both Morocco and Haiti and now with five strikes across his last five internationals, he looks primed to score again against Japan.

Another player who has netted at this tournament is Germany’s Jamal Musiala, who struck in his team’s opening 7-1 victory over Curacao.

He’s since failed to score in his last two matches, but, having scored seven times across his 13 pre-tournament appearances, he looks good value to get back on the scoresheet here against weaker opposition in the shape of Paraguay.
