talkSPORT betting tips – Best Six Nations bets and expert advice for Week 4

After the well-deserved breather in the fallow week, the 2026 Six Nations is back on Friday and Saturday with more twists on the cards in this championship, which has already thrown up its fair share of surprises.

Starting on Friday night in Dublin, winless Wales face the daunting prospect of facing an Ireland side who rediscovered themselves with a win at Allianz Stadium over England in Week 3.

The pick of the Week 4 games comes from Edinburgh on Saturday as frontrunners France take on second-place Scotland at Murrayfield, before England have what many are regarding as a must-win match against Italy in Rome.

  • Italy +7.5 handicap @ 4/5

Wales to get duffed up in Dublin

There were positives for Wales to take out of their 26-23 defeat to Scotland in Cardiff, but ultimately it was yet another defeat for Steve Tandy’s side.

Looking on course for victory at the Principality Stadium, second-half tries from Finn Russell, Darcy Graham and George Turner saw Gregor Townsend’s men claim the bonus-point win.

It was a narrow win for the Scots, but looking back at the game, especially in the first half, it was some last-gasp Welsh defence that stopped Scotland building up a significant points total.

On the back of a 42-21 thrashing of England at Twickenham, Ireland look capable of exploiting the Welsh fringe defence and posting a big score on Friday night.

Ireland still have outside hopes of a Six Nations crown and they will leave nothing to chance in Dublin, so Andy Farrell’s men should cover the handicap here.

Scots can give France a scare

France have been at their irresistible best in this Six Nations and they will take some stopping to be denied not only the title but also a Grand Slam.

Many in the French media highlighted Les Bleus’ trip to Murrayfield as one of their biggest pre-tournament hurdles, and that might well be the case this weekend.

In the last 10 years, Scotland have recorded six wins over France, with five of those victories coming at Murrayfield.
France edged a 20-16 win on their last visit to Edinburgh in 2024 and a similarly closely-fought contest might well be on the cards here.

With that in mind, Scotland, with the +10.0 handicap, gets the green light in this intriguing game.

Azzurri to relish Rome clash

Seeing England succumb to Ireland in London last time out, Italy might well feel this is their best-ever opportunity to finally record a first win over the Red Rose.

England were dominated by the Irish at the Allianz Stadium and the lack of physicality was telling throughout the contest.

With the Stadio Olimpico set to be bouncing, Italy will be throwing everything they have at England this weekend.

Able to cause England’s fringe defence issues, Italy, with the +8.0 handicap, gets the thumbs up here.
