Steelers’ Aaron Rodgers cosplayer ready for ‘Part 2’ after re-signing
The Pittsburgh Steelers breathed a sigh of relief on Saturday, after it was announced that quarterback Aaron Rodgers was signing a one-year deal to return to the team. One Rodgers fan also breathed a sigh of relief. That is a famous Rodgers cosplayer, who likes dressing up as the player.
The Instagram account Rodgers_realm is that fan, who lists his name as Jackson Bonneville. The account posted a video after it was announced that Rodgers would return, with a simple message.
“Can’t wait for part two of this,” the account said in the post. The video was of Rodgers shaking hands with someone dressed up like him.
Rodgers agreed to a deal that will pay him up to $25 million for the 2026 season, ESPN reported Saturday. This will be a reunion for the veteran quarterback with his former head coach, Mike McCarthy.
McCarthy won a Super Bowl while coaching the Green Bay Packers, with Rodgers as his starting quarterback.
Steelers have high expectations for 2026

McCarthy is replacing Mike Tomlin, who stepped down as head coach following the 2025 season. Tomlin had never had a losing season in Pittsburgh, so McCarthy has big shoes to fill.
During the 2025 season with Rodgers, the Steelers won the AFC North. Pittsburgh then lost their first playoff game, getting blown out by the Houston Texans.
The Steelers and their fans want a lot more. It has been years since Pittsburgh won a playoff game. Steelers fans expect McCarthy, Rodgers and the squad to do just that this coming season.
“Inevitably, the Rodgers/McCarthy pairing will gravitate toward what they know: spread formations, shotgun alignments, quick passing attacks. In theory, the improved receiver room featuring trade acquisition Michael Pittman Jr. and draft pick Germie Bernard will improve that approach, even if it is reminiscent of last year’s scheme,” ESPN reported.
Time will tell how Rodgers and the Steelers perform in 2026.
