Spurs’ Dylan Harper knew Victor Wembanyama would dominate Game 6 after pregame outfit

San Antonio Spurs star big man Victor Wembanyama arrived dressed to kill before Game 6 of the 2026 Western Conference Finals on Thursday.

And he surely did put up a huge performance to lead the Spurs to a 118-91 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas, to stave off elimination and force the series to go the distance.

Wembanyama was seen wearing a robe before the game, with many thinking it was his way of paying homage to his offseason training at the Shaolin Temple in China.

Apparently, that was not the case, as he clarified after the game that it was because he celebrated the Islamic holiday Eid al-Adha.

In any case, Spurs point guard Dylan Harper immediately felt great about Wembanyama’s chances of having a big night after seeing the former No. 1 overall NBA draft pick show up in that attire.

“When he came in with the outfit, I think everyone knew what was gonna happen,” Harper told reporters in the postgame press conference.

Wembanyama was all business in Game 6, leading all scorers with 28 points on 10-for-21 shooting. He knocked down four 3-pointers, went 4-for-4 from the free throw line, grabbed 19 rebounds, swatted away three shots on defense, added two steals and dished out two assists, all in 28 minutes of work.

Harper wasn’t too shabby himself, as the rookie came off the bench and fired 18 points on 6-for-9 shooting and six rebounds in 22 minutes.

But the job is not yet over for Wembanyama, Harper and the Spurs, with Game 7 at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, coming right up on Saturday.
