Sophie Cunningham sizzles in steamy new SI Swimsuit Issue photos

More pictures from the 2026 Sports Illustrated (SI) Swimsuit Issue are here, and they show Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham baring all in new bikini-clad photos.

The photos have surfaced online from Cunningham. She is seen in a variety of black and white swimsuits in the pictures. She also excitedly posted some of them on her Instagram as well with the caption, “Year 1 with [SI Swimsuit; face exhaling and sparkles emojis] AHHHH!”

Cunningham is one of the several WNBA stars to be part of the SI Swimsuit Issue this year. Angel Reese and Napheesa Collier will also make appearances in the magazine.

Sophie Cunningham’s SI Swimsuit Issue debut

The 2026 SI Swimsuit Issue marks Cunningham’s first appearance in the annual magazine. It was one of the many exciting chapters of her latest eventful offseason.

Cunningham just returned to the Fever after becoming an unrestricted free agent for the first time. She spent the 2025 WNBA season with the Fever and ultimately decided to come back on a one-year deal.

She is coming off a season that was cut short due to a torn MCL injury. Cunningham suffered it during the Fever’s game against the Connecticut Sun on Sunday, Aug. 17.

After easing back into action during the 2026 WNBA preseason, Cunningham returned to the floor during the Fever’s opening game against the Dallas Wings, which they lost.

Cunningham played 25 minutes in the game, scoring three points. She also had four rebounds and three assists in the game. While not spectacular, she did go 100% on three-pointers.

She spent the first six seasons of her WNBA career with the Phoenix Mercury, who drafted her in the second round of the 2019 WNBA Draft out of Missouri. They then traded Cunningham to the Fever before the 2025 season as part of a four-team trade. The Wings and the Sun were also part of the trade.
