Sophie Cunningham reveals how she lets winds down after stalker news and Fever loss
Sophie Cunningham is letting fans know how she wants to “take the edge off” after a tough day.
Cunningham took to social media to share how she wants to sit back and relax after the Indiana Fever’s loss to the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday night (June 24), and her alleged stalker was also arrested this week.
“I feel like, if I were a smoker, tonight would be the night where I would smoke a whole pack, but I am not, so I’m going to eat a couple of cinnamon rolls,” she said on her Instagram Story on Thursday, June 25.
“I already ate four of them today, might as well finish them off,” she joked.
She additionally wrote on the video, “A lil somethin to take the edge off.”
The Fever lost to the Mercury 111-109, and the game was anything short of controversial. On Cunningham’s side, she was seen getting into it with Phoenix forward DeWanna Bonner on the court, and her teammate Caitlin Clark was involved in another moment when Mercury star Alyssa Thomas seemingly put her fist into Clark’s throat at one point after being fouled trying to make a three-pointer. Thomas has been suspended for one game after the shot to Clark’s throat.
As for Cunningham’s alleged stalker, Kevin Singh, is now facing felony charges for stalking and intimidation, as well as a misdemeanor harassment charge. He was charged on Tuesday, June 23 according to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.
Over the course of several months, Singh allegedly sent Cunningham various messages with some being explicit on X back in April, according to the affidavit per CNN. The WNBA star’s team later sent Singh a cease-and-desist letter on April 30, following the messages. In September 2025, Singh allegedly sent a Guns N’ Roses T-shirt sprayed with men’s cologne and a letter that was sent to Indiana Fever’s home arena, Gainbridge Fieldhouse which was addressed to “Sophie.”
Singh pleaded guilty in July 2025 to two felony counts of invasion of privacy, and is currently on probation in Hendricks County, Indiana.
“The internet has made it easier than ever to target, harass and intimidate others. Threats of violence, whether face-to-face or behind a keyboard, will be taken seriously,” Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears said in a statement. “Coming forward is never easy, regardless of a person’s position or public profile. The victim is setting an example by speaking out.”
