Saturday horse racing tips

Carlisle

• 13.30: Topteam 13/2 each-way (1pt)
• 14.33: Starlust 9/2 (1pt)

Chester

• 15.30: Supido 3/1 (1pt)

Topteam

Won on his first start of the season after being gelded and then something clearly went wrong at Epsom placing fifth of five runners.

Went close to Asgard’s Captain last time out though at Newmarket and he clearly likes this kind of galloping course.

William Buick is on board for the first time which makes things interesting as usual rider Oisin Murphy is at Chester instead.

Starlust

This listed race looks wide open but Starlust has the potential here back from a long break but dangerous in the ratings.

Ralph Beckett’s horses have been running well and Rossa Ryan has also been riding incredibly well.

Starlust has only been seen recently in Group 1 and 2 contests and drops into this markedly easier listed contest which could see him bounce back with conviction.

Supido

Roman Dragon has the course form at Chester that certainly helped him win when tipped last time out, bouncing back from a bit of a losing streak.

Clearly that move back down to 5f was a big factor too, so at 7f I really wouldn’t be as confident in his ability to keep his Chester winning streak alive.

However, Supido won here last time out over an extended 7f and although has been raised 4lb still looks dangerous on prior form.
