Royal Ascot 2026 Day 5 tips (Saturday 20th June 2026)

It has been a fantastic week of action at Royal Ascot and we’re not done yet. Saturday’s card is always one of the biggest betting days of the meeting, with competitive fields, strong form lines and plenty of opportunities for punters to end the week on a high.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes tops the bill, while the Hardwicke Stakes, Jersey Stakes and the always-tricky Wokingham Handicap provide further intrigue.

I’ve gone through every race to pick out my best bets, value selections and horse racing tips for Royal Ascot Day 5.

Joe’s best horse racing betting tips for Royal Ascot 2026 day 5 (Saturday 20th June 2026)

Find my top tips for Saturday 20th June 2026 racing with odds from the best horse racing bookies below:

Royal Ascot 2.30 Norfolk Stakes (Group 2) 5f

  • 1 of the last 12 winners was a favourite but 6 of 12 top 3 in the betting
  • 8 of the last 12 winners won on their last run before
  • 0 of the last 12 winners had a previous win at Ascot
  • 10 of the last 12 winners had at least 1 win that season

It is Royal Ascot so it is never as simple as this but I really can’t see how the top two in the betting don’t fight this out.

CARRY THE FLAG opened his account at Naas beating Sun Goddess and then bumped into stablemate Great Barrier Reef at the Curragh and that horse has since won the Coventry impressively so the form has been franked. He has more to come and is difficult to look past here.

Clive Cox saddles Orthodox and he was heavily punted on debut winning well at Salisbury last month. He looks a nice colt and with improvement to come can ask the most questions of the favourite. I’ll be covering the reverse forecast here for a bit of insurance.

🏇 Bet on CARRY THE FLAG to win at 9/4 with Betfred 🏇

Royal Ascot 3.05 Hardwicke Stakes (Group 2) 1m3f211y

  • 8 of the last 12 winners were aged 4
  • 4 of the last 12 winners were favourites and 8 of 12 top 3 in the betting
  • 8 of the last 12 winners won on their last run before
  • 10 of the last 12 winners had a rating of 114 or higher

I was with KALPANA at Newbury and I thought she won that despite needing the run. She picked up well to see off West Wind Blows and then just got a bit lonely in front. She goes particularly well at this track and is clearly the one they all have to beat.

Jan Brueghel impressed bolting up at Chester and then bumped into Bay City Roller at Epsom. He is in good form and should put up the most resistance to the favourite.

Goliath is also in winning form and is respected too.

🏇 Bet on KALPANA to win at 5/2 with Coral 🏇

Royal Ascot 3.40 Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes (Group 1) 6f

  • 8 of the last 12 winners were aged 4 or 5
  • 3 of the last 12 winners were favourites or joint favourites but 8 of 12 top 3 in the betting
  • 5 of the last 12 winners won on their last run before
  • 10 of the last 12 winners were rated 114 or higher

The Aussie horse Joliestar is sure to be popular given her winning run but SATONO REVE looks better value.

The Japanese raider won at Chukyo and then bumped into Ka Ying Rising at Sha Tin last time out. He ran well at this meeting last year and has the assistance of Ryan Moore now so looks worth siding with.

Lake Forest won impressively at Haydock last month and arrives with confidence high but obviously this is a much sterner test so he’ll need to build on that again to get involved and that still might not be enough.

🏇 Bet on SATONO REVE each way at 4/1 with bet365 🏇

Royal Ascot 4.20 Jersey Stakes (Group 3) 7f

  • 4 of the last 12 winners were favourites or joint favourites and 7 of 12 top 3 in the betting
  • 2 of the last 12 winners won on their last run before
  • 10 of the last 12 winners had a rating of 102 or higher
  • 5 of the last 12 winners had at least 1 win in a Group race

I’m sticking with unbeaten colt SABER STRIKE here as we don’t know where his ceiling is just yet. I was really impressed with him at Newmarket and he won going away at the line.

There is a lot of pace on here and he will be ridden patiently before looking to pounce so I expect this track to suit his style. He has a lot of scope so could have a fair bit more to give yet.

The Prettiest Star ran well to finish fourth in the Guineas and is completely unexposed so could emerge as the danger. I know Ed Walker thinks a lot of her so I can see her running a nice race. Avicenna still has potential and might be best of the rest.

🏇 Bet on SABER STRIKE to win at 85/40 with BetVictor 🏇

Royal Ascot 5.00 Wokingham Stakes (Heritage Handicap) (Class 2) 6f

  • 9 of the last 12 winners were aged 4 or 5
  • 1 of the last 12 winners was a favourite and 1 of 12 top 3 in the betting
  • 10 of the last 12 winners came from stall 10 or higher
  • 9 of the last 12 winners carried between 9 stone 2lb and 9 stone 9lb

I thought that was a massive run from BINHAREER in defeat at York on reappearance last month. He stepped forward plenty from his first start last year so I expect the same improvement here. He has run well on both visits to this track and this son of Dark Angel is a handicapper to keep on side.

Double Rush has won both starts this season but receives another hike in the weights so this won’t be easy. He does have a lot of class about him though.

Ten Pounds and Completely Random complete the shortlist in a good renewal.

🏇 Bet on BINHAREER each way at 9/2 with Coral 🏇

Royal Ascot 5.35 Golden Gates Stakes (Class 2) 1m1f212y

  • 2 of the last 6 winners were favourites or joint favourites and 2 of 6 top 3 in the betting
  • 3 of the last 6 winners won on their last run before
  • 5 of the last 6 winners had a rating between 90 and 95
  • 0 of the last 6 winners had a Group race win

I thought SAHARA KING was a bit unlucky to get beat at Newbury. That was just his fourth start and if he improves again it wouldn’t be a massive surprise to see him reverse form with Lost Boys. He is a strong traveller and this could pan out perfectly.

Lost Boys is there with his chance again and Harmonics has also looked a colt going places having won his last two starts particularly impressive at Doncaster last time.

It has been some week for Joseph O’Brien so Perisher deserves a mention as well.

🏇 Bet on SAHARA KING each way at 6/1 with bet365 🏇

Royal Ascot 6.10 Queen Alexandra Stakes (Class 2) 2m5f143y

  • 11 of the last 12 winners were aged 6 or older
  • 4 of the last 12 winners were favourites and 8 of 12 top 3 in the betting
  • 2 of the last 12 winners won on their last run before
  • 10 of the last 12 winners had a rating of 102 or higher

I have a feeling this is a lot more open than the betting suggests.

A PIECE OF HEAVEN looks largely underestimated in the betting. He looked a horse on good terms with himself beating Maxi King at Chester and this sort of trip could bring out the best in him. The yard are flying and he makes plenty of appeal at an each way price.

Illinois is probably the solid one under Ryan Moore and I can see him bouncing back from that Epsom flop. French Master also has a bit to prove but if he brings his best form over this distance he would be a major player too.

🏇 Bet on A PIECE OF HEAVEN each way at 8/1 with bet365 🏇

My top tip for Royal Ascot 2026 day 5 on Saturday

It would be great to end the week with another winning double and I’m struggling to see how KALPANA doesn’t win the Hardwicke Stakes having impressed at Newbury.

I’ve doubled her up with SABER STRIKE in the Jersey Stakes as he is unbeaten and looks a colt going places.

🏇 Bet a Win Double on KALPANA and SABER STRIKE at 10/1 with bet365 🏇
