Ronda Rousey clarifies why potential AEW run is ‘not doable anymore’

Just days before her MMA comeback against Gina Carano at Jake Paul’s MVP, Ronda Rousey shocked fans when she made her AEW debut at the Revolution PPV in Los Angeles, California.

Following Marina Shafir’s match at the PPV, Rousey made her way to the ring and shared a staredown with Toni Storm. However, despite the intense moment, fans did not find anything yield out of that moment. While Rousey never appeared in AEW again, Storm was quietly removed from all televised storylines due to an undisclosed reason.

During an appearance on Up & Adams, Rousey claimed that she had a great time at AEW Revolution but was not intending for wrestling to be part of her future.

“No, that life of being on the road is probably more time-consuming than doing training camp at home,” Rousey said. “I had a great time, but it just happened to be in town, and my best friend was there, you know what I mean?”

In another interview with Fox News Digital, Rousey opened up about her AEW appearance and her future there. Rousey made it clear that she was not interested in getting involved in pro wrestling full-time or even part-time for the following reasons. “I think, just, we’re trying to have another kid now and all this stuff,” Rousey said. “That lifestyle, being on the road and wrestling, it’s just not conducive at all to having multiple kids.

“We were able to make it work for a little while. It’s just not doable anymore. I could be open to doing some things if it works out and it’s local. We’re looking to move to Hawaii, and it would be kinda cool to open a little school.”
