As reported by Variety, the film will release theatrically in France on November 25, but it is currently unknown if it will be available to watch in the UK.

The synopsis reads: “For the first time, he faces an opponent of an entirely different nature — love.

“A force as exhilarating as it is destabilising — and far more dangerous than anything he has encountered on the court.”

Producer Hugo Selignac said: “There is a rare tenderness, melancholy and strength in his images, and his move into directing felt like a natural next step to me.”

Romeo Beckham’s career

Beckham was long on the sporting path like his father David, showing an interest and ability in football and tennis.

He joined Arsenal‘s academy in 2014, but was released the following year.

Romeo then decided to pursue tennis and was a talented junior.

He got coaching lessons from three-time Grand Slam winner Andy Murray and Grigor Dimitrov.

“Romeo, he’s a very talented kid. I think he hasn’t played tennis for that long, but he sure showed I think a lot of potential,” said Dimitrov in 2017.

However, in 2020 he announced he was looking to return to his football career.

Beckham joined USL League One club Fort Lauderdale CF, an affiliate team of Inter Miami, in 2021.

This was shortly after Romeo had turned 19. He made his senior debut alongside Harvey Neville, son of ex-Man United star Phil.

He began training with Brentford B in 2022 on an initial loan deal.

Beckham was then signed on a permanent one-year contract.

He then left Brentford in 2024 and hung up his boots for good to join a top Paris Fashion agency.

A source told The Sun: “Romeo has decided to hang up his football boots and devote his time to his fashion career.

“He has loved his time at Brentford but needs to focus his attention on fashion, which is where his passion lies.

“Romeo has recently signed with a top fashion agent in Paris and has his sights set on working with some massive brands.”
