Released WWE wrestler felt late Bray Wyatt’s presence backstage

Days after WWE WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, Nevada, multiple WWE Superstars and developmental wrestlers were released from their contracts. While rising names from NXT and LFG were let go, the veteran Wyatt Sicks members [Bo Dallas/Uncle Howdy, Erick Rowan, Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy, and Nikki Cross] were also released.

Shortly after his release, Gacy opened up on social media and shared a statement about feeling the late great WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt’s presence backstage. Gacy was called up to the WWE main roster as a part of The Wyatt Sicks after his impressive NXT run.

“Just a story for the fans, True story. In the first few weeks after the debut of the Wyatt Sicks, I was walking around back stage alone. Navigating my new status as an NXT call up. In that moment I glanced over at a curtain and what do I see. A moth…..” he wrote.

I look down and see this moth, brown with spots on its back and big. I looked around and no one was near me. In that moment I felt Windhams presence with me…….It might sound weird but in that moment I felt like he accepted and supported the journey we were about to embark on. It was very surreal and a moment I will never forget. That moment and every moment after I really felt him there with us. Thank you again,” he finished.

Gacy’s comments were uncannily similar to his former tag-team partner, Dexter Lumis, who also spoke about feeling Wyatt’s presence every time the team entered together. Wyatt passed away in Aug. 2023 but left his legendary legacy behind.
