Premier League Darts week 7 betting tips and expert advice for Dublin
The Premier League roadshow heads for Dublin on Thursday evening for a post St Patrick’s Day party in the Irish capital.
Jonny Clayton took the nightly win in Nottingham last time and the Welshman tops the league table, the only player so far to land multiple nightly wins.
Luke Littler (2nd), Gerwyn Price (3rd), Michael van Gerwen (6th) and Stephen Bunting (7th) have all taken a nightly win and the £10,000 prize that goes with it, while Northern Ireland’s Josh Rock will be hoping the Dublin crowd gets behind him as he is the only player in the field yet to win a single contest.

Premier League – Week 7 Tips
Tip 1: Michael van Gerwen to beat Gian van Veen @ 11/10
Opening up the show in Dublin is the all-Dutch clash between Gian van Veen and Michael van Gerwen. Beaten World Championship finalist Van Veen is favourite to prevail but his recent form suggests he’ll have his work cut out.
Since reaching the night four decider, where Bunting beat him 6-2 in Belfast, Van Veen has won just one of five matches he has played.
He lost a high-quality clash with Rob Cross at the UK Open – both men averaging north of 101 – but dropped to 89.96 against Luke Humphries in Nottingham last week. He could do nothing against an inspired Weesel Nijman on the European Tour on Sunday.
MVG beat Van Veen to win night one and averaged 107.00 despite losing to fellow Dutchman Niels Zonneveld on the European Tour at the weekend.
The Green Machine has won four of the last six meetings with Van Veen and could cause an upset in Dublin.
Tip 2: Gerwyn Price Over 2.5 180’s & Wins Match vs Josh Rock @ 6/4
Josh Rock’s introduction to the Premier League has been a baptism of fire. He hit a memorable nine-darter on home turf in Belfast but hasn’t won a match so far and, tellingly, has landed just three legs against the throw. For context, Luke Humphries with 14 against the throw is the next-lowest tally.
Gerwyn Price has a nightly win on his CV and was edged out last week in Nottingham 6-5 by Luke Littler.
The Iceman hit four 180’s in that contest and averaged over 101. He picked up four wins on the European Tour over the weekend, beating Joe Cullen, Danny Noppert, Dirk van Duijvenbode and Damon Heta before losing to the red-hot Nijman.
He’s in a much better place than Rock right now and can justify odds-on quotes whilst hitting at least three 180’s.
Tip 3: Jonny Clayton vs Luke Humphries: Each Player Over 0.5 100+ Checkouts @ 3/1
The fourth Dublin quarter-final is a repeat of last week’s decider as table-topper Clayton stares down world number two Humphries.
“It’s my favourite tournament, I love it. Hopefully I’m proving why I should be in it, and my darts are doing the talking,” was Clayton’s assessment of the Premier League last Thursday.
Humphries lost that contest in Nottingham 6-1 but did manage a 121 checkout in leg three. He missed seven more darts at double, while the Ferret took out a finish of 146 in leg five with Cool Hand waiting patiently on tops.
Humphries had three ton-plus finishes in Nottingham and this in-form duo could turn on the style again in Dublin. Their contest could go all the way and both are capable of brilliance on current form.
