Knicks’ Mikal Bridges toasts ‘ultimate savage’ for guarding Victor Wembanyama in Game 5
New York Knicks forward Mikal Bridges shouted out his teammates, Jeremy Sochan, for his Game 5 appearance against All-Star Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs. After ESPN’s Stephen A Smith revealed the greatest moment of his career was watching the Knicks win their first championship since 1973 on Saturday.
Bridges, on the other hand, gave a toast to Sochan for defending Wembanyama in the closing seconds of Game 5’s 94-90 Knicks victory, via his Instagram live.
“Jeremy Sochan… n****’s a savage, bro,” Bridges said. “That n**** the ultimate savage. He ain’t play all playoffs, all Finals, and you put that n**** in the last 10 seconds of the game, and you’re going to tell him not to f*** up. Not to foul a n****. Not to give up an open three. Go guard Wemby. Wembanyama. Victor. The f****** French n****? Savage, bro.”

Knicks’ Jereemy Sochan, like most of the Knicks players, including Mikal Bridges, is earning his first NBA championship. He also did it against his former team, the Spurs, who drafted Sochan with the ninth overall pick in the 2021 draft.
Stephen A Smith apologizes to Jalen Brunson after Knicks title

“In his own way, he reminds me of this every time. It’s automatic… national television, I owe this man an apology,” Smith said. “I am grateful for what you have done for this city, what y’all have done for this city, and you won’t be hearing any more doubts from me, my brother.”
