Premier League clubs urged to ask Real Madrid about Endrick – he is made for English football

Premier League teams should explore a move for Real Madrid striker Endrick this summer.

At least that’s according to European football expert Andy Brassell.

The Brazilian forward endured a tough start to the 2025/26 season as he struggled for game time at Real Madrid, who won the race to sign the former Palmeiras man in 2022.

As such, the teenager was sent on loan to French giants Lyon at the turn of the year.

Endrick went on to turn his season around in Ligue 1 as he scored five times and provided seven assists in 16 league outings.

And he did enough to make Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil squad for the 2026 World Cup.

Lyon are unlikely to make the 19-year-old’s move permanent and, as a result, he’ll return to Spain this summer.

Endrick, though, is expected to again struggle for minutes next season at the Bernabeu, and Brassell believes that Premier League sides ‘would not be doing their job’ if they didn’t enquire for the young forward.

“I think Premier League clubs would not be doing their job if they didn’t at least ask the question of Real Madrid,” Brassell exclusively told talkSPORT.

“At the moment there are no plans to sell him. They invested a lot in him in the first place and he’s got several years to run on his contract.

“Having excelled and got over difficult moments in that time at Lyon, you do wonder if there is a team that could offer him Champions League football.

“Of course we’re not completely sure Lyon can at the moment, they still have to go through some qualifiers. They’re not optimistic about getting him back.

Brazil and Real Madrid striker Endrick
Andy Brassell has urged Premier League sides to push to sign Endrick this summer

“I wonder if England could be the next level for him. If you look at the fact that a lot of the game in the Premier League is still based around counter-attacking, he would fit absolutely perfectly.

“I’d love to see him in the Premier League. And even if Real Madrid wouldn’t let him go long-term maybe he would come for a loan for a little bit.

“Let’s not completely rule out the permanent transfer as well because they know they could make a lot of money off him and reinvest it in another superstar.

“So watch this space.”

Endrick has so far struggled for regular action at the World Cup, managing just 34 minutes of action across Brazil’s three group stage games.
