It is going to be an interesting week at the Players Champinship.

Much will be made about whether or not this event is a major championship in the professional golf scene, but however it is categorized there is no denying that it is a bigger deal than most weeks on the PGA Tour. That goes without saying.

It would seem that the PGA Tour more than agrees. It was announced on Monday that they are adding a “Tourcast Range” feature to their points of technology that will allow fans to follow the action from the driving range throughout the week.

Launching at THE PLAYERS Championship, TOURCAST Range is an interactive 3D experience that will allow fans to follow their favorite TOUR players during their range sessions. Supported by TOUR’s ShotLink powered by CDW, fans can watch every recorded shot from each player visualized in a dynamic range environment, with ball‑flight data including carry distance, ball speed, trajectory and more.

It is awesome to see the PGA Tour investing in properties like this and the players is certainly an event where it makes sense to lean in.

Who are you excited to watch?
