However, it was Rose’s outfit choice which caught the eye as he entered the clubhouse.

The former US Open champion approached the venue in a striking blue jersey which appears to be the Premier League giants’ latest strip.

Chelsea kit leaked?

Chelsea are yet to officially unveil their home kit for the 2026/27 season.

Their strip will once again be produced by kit supplier Nike as part of a 15-year deal worth £900million agreed in 2016.

Leaked images of the club’s latest jersey have emerged in recent days, though, with Rose’s outfit bearing a striking resemblance.

The world No.7 arrived for his first round in a blue Nike football shirt with a collar and yellow trim.

Meanwhile, the lion from Chelsea’s club crest featured on his chest, although it was missing the traditional circular design.

Chelsea have had their current badge for over two decades having adopted it ahead of the 2005/06 season.

Leaks of the new strip also featured the lion emblem as opposed to their usual crest.

The strip also lacked a shirt sponsor, both in the leaked images and on Rose’s jersey.

He reshared an X post by the PGA Championship, adding a t-shirt and eyes emoji.

Chelsea are currently preparing to face Manchester City in this weekend’s FA Cup final.

The two sides meet at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off at 3pm live on talkSPORT.

The 45-year-old’s best performance at the event came back in 2012.

On that occasion, Rose was one of four players to finish nine shots behind winner Rory McIlroy, who’s made a poor start to this year’s championship, in third at Kiawah Island.

Rose also has pedigree at this year’s venue, Aronimink, which hosted the 2018 BMW Championship.

Rose lost to Keegan Bradley on the first play-off hole after the pair had finished the tournament in a tie for the lead.
