Pavel Dorofeyev’s NSFW reaction to Game 5 injury scare vs. Ducks
The Vegas Golden Knights held their breath after Pavel Dorofeyev went down in the second period on Tuesday night. Dorofeyev had scored a goal earlier in the contest. And he was going to be needed if the Golden Knights wanted to win Game 5 against the Anaheim Ducks.
Dorofeyev not only returned to the game, he ended up being the reason they won. He scored his second goal of the night in overtime to give Vegas a 3-2 win. After the game, the Golden Knights star spoke about the injury that caused him to miss a bit of the second period.
“I just blocked a shot. It’s kind of a s**t part of my job, but it hurts more when I miss,” Dorofeyev said, via The Athletic’s Jesse Granger.
The injury certainly did not look great in real time. Dorofeye was able to skate away under his own power. However, he didn’t put any weight on his leg as he left the ice. Still, he had no intentions of leaving this game entirely
“No, not really. It was just kind of a sting in my leg,” the Golden Knights star said when asked if he thought about not being able to return.
Dorofeyev has two multi-goal games in these playoffs. This includes a hat trick against the Utah Mammoth in the first round. With his latest goal, Vegas is one win away from the 2026 Western Conference Finals.
There is one more hurdle to climb, and their first chance at eliminating the Ducks comes on Thursday night in Game 6.
