Paul Heyman loves NBA’s script after New York Knicks ‘babyfaces’ stun ‘heel’ Spurs with historic comeback

The NBA finals this year have reached a different level of thrill and excitement. With the New York Knicks securing the first two games and the Spurs winning Game 3, a lot depended on Game 4.

Down throughout the match, the Knicks completed a sensational comeback to win the match 107-106 against the Spurs and potentially secure this year’s NBA Championship. On Wednesday, Jun. 11, 2026, the New York Knicks completed their comeback to defeat the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4 of the NBA Finals from an unbelievable point in the match. Midway through the game, the Knicks were down 29 points before they laced their boots to come back and defeat the Spurs on their home ground of Madison Square Garden.

New York native and WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman soon uploaded a status on social media praising the match and the Knicks’ victory. Heyman compared the match to WWE and the promotion’s storyline scripts.

“I think it’s time we all recognize the NBA has a great creative team and writers. Wow. What a story! Texas heels rout hometown heroes in the 1st half at the World’s Most Famous Arena [Madison Square Garden], only for the babyfaces to perform the greatest comeback EVER! My compliments!” Heyman wrote. “The Wiseman” compared the hometown heroes Knicks, as the babyfaces in this feud, while the touring San Antonio Spurs were the heels [pro-wrestling term for villains].

A regular face on WWE TV, Paul Heyman is currently away from WWE programming after getting speared by Bron Breakker on the Jun. 1, 2026 episode of Monday Night RAW.
