Osasuna vs Barcelona predictions and betting tips – Blaugrana close in on title

Barcelona are in a position whereby even defeat in next weekend’s Clasico would probably not stop them being crowned champions of Spain. Hansi Flick’s side now lead Real Madrid by 11 points in the title race.

There is even a scenario in which the Blaugrana can get their hands on the prize this weekend. Will they beat Osasuna to leave Madrid needing a win on Sunday?

Osasuna vs Barcelona predictions

Barcelona are almost there. After Real Madrid dropped points in a 1-1 draw with Real Betis last weekend, Hansi Flick’s side are on the brink of the La Liga title.

Given Barcelona have not won the league in back-to-back seasons for a decade, doing so would be a fine achievement for Flick.

Barcelona were comfortably the best team in the division last term and that has been the case again in 2025/26.

In both campaigns they have fallen short in the Champions League, exiting in the quarter-finals this season following a painful semi-final loss last time out.

With five games remaining, Barcelona lead Real Madrid by 11 points. A victory over Osasuna this weekend would see Barca crowned champions if Madrid fail to beat Espanyol (in Barcelona) on Sunday.

There is also a very real possibility that Flick’s team get over the line in the Clasico on May 10. That is a dream scenario for Barcelona and a nightmare one for Madrid.

As such, there are some Blancos fans who would rather see Barca get their hands on the prize this weekend, even if that meant their own team coming up short against Espanyol.

Barcelona have responded well to their Champions League defeat by Atletico Madrid, beating Celta Vigo and Getafe without conceding a goal.

They have now won nine matches in a row in La Liga, as well as 12 of their last 13. Barcelona are cruising towards the title in style – not that Flick is getting carried away.

“We’ll celebrate at the end of the season if we can,” he said after the 2-0 victory over Getafe last time out. “Now it’s time to focus on the next game.”

Osasuna vs Barcelona betting tips

Barcelona will be looking to take another step towards the La Liga title by triumphing over Osasuna.

Barcelona to march on

As things stand, a top-six finish is required for European qualification in La Liga. But there is a scenario in which eighth place would be enough to secure involvement in continental competition.

Given they are ninth in the standings heading into the weekend, Osasuna are still in the conversation for Europe.

They will be up against it on Saturday, however. Barcelona have been unstoppable in La Liga recently, as evidenced by that nine-match winning streak.

Even with some key men on the treatment table, Flick’s men have continually proved too strong for the rest of the division. A 10th straight victory beckons this weekend.

Two-goal away win?

Osasuna have struggled for consistency of late, which is why they are mid-table with five matches remaining.

Alessio Lisci’s men have not repeated a result (back-to-back draws, wins or losses) in any of their last 13 games.

They are still capable of giving Barcelona something to think about, and a thumping away win is unlikely.

Yet Barca have the bit between their teeth at the moment and they should come through their latest trip to Pamplona unscathed. A win by a two-goal margin is well within reach for the champions-elect.

Torres one to watch

Lamine Yamal is out for the rest of the club season and Raphinha is unlikely to feature until the Clasico at the earliest, so Barcelona will not have a full-strength frontline for Saturday’s encounter.

Ferran Torres was not in the XI against Getafe last weekend, but after spending the entirety of that match on the bench, he is likely to be involved against Osasuna.

Torres can play through the middle or out wide, increasing the chances that Flick will find space for him in his line-up.

The Spain international requires just one more goal to reach 20 for the season. He will be desperate to hit that milestone this weekend.
